We bid farewell to Selma Linda Wainionpaa of Centerville, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 18, 2024 at the age of 79. Selma Linda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tauno Rapo and Kerttu Rapo. She is survived by: her friends, Evelyn, Peggy, Anabeth and Susan; her husband John Wainionpaa; her children, Heidi Adamski (Anthony) of Bellevue, Nebraska, Erik Wainionpaa (Erica) of Aurora, Colorado and Sinikka Waugh (Spencer) of Indianola, Iowa.; her grandchildren, Elizabeth [Adamski] Modesto (Martin) of Bellevue, Nebraska, James Adamski of Roswell, Josef "Quinn" Adamski of Centerville, Ashleigh Wainionpaa of Aurora, Colorado, Luke Wainionpaa of Phoenix, Arizona, Anja and Sophie Waugh of Indianola; her great grandchildren, Lizette and Malakai Modesto of Bellevue, Nebraska.; her brothers, Dr. Seppo Rapo of Marstons Mills and Paul Rapo of San Marcos; and her siblings-in-law, Judy, Melissa and Arthur Reed of Abington. She is also survived by nephews, nieces and grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Christ Chapel (1200 Old Stage Rd, W BARNSTBLE, MA 02632). A burial will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
