He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin and Celia (Cunningham). He is survived by: his spouse Claire (Splaine); his children, Deborah, John (Beth Barrett) and Carole (Elena Barrett); his grandchildren, Kaleigh (Jared Meegan), Meaghan (Jeremy Gauvain), Connor (Audrey McGrath), Nicole, Natalie Dicks, James Barrett and Martin Barrett III; his great grandchildren, Grant and Finn Meegan; and his sisters, Marie (Paul Hojlo) and Ann McHale. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1545 Tremont St., Roxbury, MA.
