He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maizie Matthews and James Matthews of Whitman, MA; his daughter Donna; his son-in-law Warren Holmberg of Oak Bluffs; his sons, James "Jimmy" Matthews of Whitman and John; his granddaughter Jennifer (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Alison and Jacob of Oak Bluffs; his granddaughter Michelle (Michael); his great grandchild Maisie of Acton; his grandson David (Thiago) of Edgartown; and his siblings, John, Wayne Matthews and Jayne.
