Russell was so kind to me as a friend of Janet, girlfriend of Peter Teigler, and very much part of my teenage years in Carlisle. I remember him as spirited and fun and willing to allow us younger kids to tag along to the beach with his friends. Peter and I spent a lot of time with him and they had a great friendship.
