He was predeceased by: his parents, Lilian Dinkins Carter and Frederick Douglas Carter; and his brothers, Fred Jr., Gene, Earl, Leroy and Joseph Russell.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rosalie Carter King (Joy) and Henry Carter (Bud); his children, Robert, Jr., Michelle, Nicole, Ingrid, Christina and Randall; his grandchildren, Alanna, Alisa, Alexis, Aliyah and Elle; and his great grandchildren, Nelson and Noah.
