He was predeceased by: his father Albert "Obbie" Shapiro. He is survived by: his mother Gilda Shapiro (Serkin); and his siblings, David Shapiro (Linda), Marc Shapiro and Randi Weiss (Mike). He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews and one great-niece.
