We bid farewell to Melvin R. Caton of Cambridge, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 11, 2025 at the age of 68. Melvin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin L. Caton and Lillian Caton (Perry); his wife Jo Ann Branco; his children, Jennifer Gaspar (Timothy) of Franklin and Melvin "Mel" Caton (Kelsey Watkins) of Malden; his grandchildren, Jordan, Nicholas, Lillian, Charlotte and Amelia; and his brother Ronald "Ronnie" Caton. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George L Doherty Funeral Service (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A procession was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:30 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Ann Church (399 Medford St, Somerville, MA 02145). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery (580 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge, MA 02138).
