She was predeceased by: her mother Madeline Barker Evans. She is survived by: her sister Beryl Evans Carter of Mattapan; her children, Shirley Evans Bonadie of Brooklyn, NY and Darcy S. Lowe; her daughters-in-law, Sandra Garro Lowe of Cambridge and Rochelle Layne of Medford; her daughter Candace L. Lowe of Milford; her grandson-in-law Jeffrey D. Lowe of Boston; and her grandchildren, Darcelle Lowe Breneus, Darcy Lowe Jr., Sean Lowe, Anthony Lowe, Robert Lowe, Saquora Lowe-McLaurin, Oya Hodges, Shayla Lowe and Cassandra Lowe. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
