It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena (Ascanio) Zappala (Cambridge, Massachusetts), who passed away on November 21, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Salvatore Zappala; her daughters, Carmela Deghmane of Brookline and Elaine Gurliaccio (John) of North Berwick, Maine.; and her grandchildren, KJ Deghmane, Julianna Gurliaccio, Gilio Gurliaccio and Jennifer Gurliaccio.
