John C. Thomas Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John C. Thomas (Cambridge, Massachusetts), who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Dave McKenna, Charlie Austin, David McCord, Willie Pep, Bennie Wiley and Margaret Chase Smith; his wife Geraldine Denterlein; his children, Faith Tracy (Joseph Tracy), Jennifer Rando (Robert Rando) and John Patrick Thomas (Gloria Dabek); his grandchildren, Ryan, Tessa, Cameron, Nolan Tracy, Phoebe, Jack Rando and Emy Thomas; and his sisters, Ramona Egan (Edward Egan) and Charlotte Lorandeau.
Donations in his memory may be made to The Tom Winship scholarship Fund, Northeastern Univeristy, https://giving.northeastern.edu, a fund he co-created to honor his mentor, the late editor of The Boston Globe or Brantwood Camp https://brantwood.org, a non profit camp for youngsters who otherwise would not have the opportunity, where Jack spent many happy summers as a camper and counselor.
