He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Hoff and Mary Catherine Hoff; his brother Thomas Francis Hoff; and his brother-in-law David Tishman. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M. O'Connell; his sons, Thomas Liam O'Connell Hoff and Michael Aidan O'Connell Hoff; his siblings, Mary Eileen, William F. Roos, Nancy Tishman, Walter Michael, Evelyn Hoff, Vincent Hoff, Geri, Todd Havill, James George and Courtney Hoff; his siblings-in-law, Regina O'Connell, Patricia O'Connell, James and Lauren O'Connell; and his cousin America. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
He was honored to serve for many years on the board of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and on the Board of Visitors of the Walsh School of Foreign Service.
