Sadly, David Robert Gessner (Cambridge, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid David Robert farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For David Robert is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruth (Charles Gessner) and Boston of Children's Hospital; his brother Charles Gessner (Susan) of Marblehead; and his brother-in-law George Travis of Mashpee. He was also cherished by two nieces and two nephews and one grandniece and three grandnephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bigelow Chapel in Mt. Auburn Cemetery (580 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge, MA 02138).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gessner-Schocken Concert Series at Longy School of Music, 27 Garden Street Cambridge MA 02138.
