She was predeceased by: her husband Donald H. Bates, Sr.; and her son Donald H. Bates, Jr. (Andrea). She is survived by: her children, Lorna Grant (Kevin) of Burlington, Robert J. Bates (Maryann) of Burlington and Paul S. Bates (Julie) of Marlborough; her grandchildren, Ray of Lorna, DJ, Denise, Ryan, Kelly, Jeff, Heather, Jillian and Justin; and her great grandchildren, Seth, Jake, Sarah, Dylann, Drew, Owen, Wes, Jack and Molly.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Douglass Funeral Home (51 Worthen Rd, Lexington, MA 02421). A Mass was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Brigid Church (1984 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02421).
