He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Louis Knopp Sr. and Gladys Knopp (Crane); his son Dr. David Dodwell; his siblings, Brooks Kendall and Ruth Jorgenson; and his nephew Douglas Jorgenson.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Knopp; his children, Lori Dodwell of Charlottesville, VA, Linda Knopp of Nashua, NH, Gary Knopp (Linda) of Milford, MA and Kristen Piscatelli (Gary) of Edgewater, NJ.; his grandchildren, Alex, Jackie, Avery Dodwell, Rachel, Kelly, Cory, Cameron Knopp, Steven, Christopher and Tori Piscatelli; and his nieces and nephews, Cheryle Forsythe, Susan Kendall, Carole Jorgenson and Kenneth Jorgenson.
