He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Black Hanson and John Kearns Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Alida Welzer Hanson; his daughters, Mary Therese Hanson and Margaret Ann Hanson; his siblings, Mary Katharine Hanson, John Kearns Hanson Jr. and Mark Thaddeus Hanson; and his parents-in-law, Frank and Ann Welzer.
