He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Monis and Pauline Monis; and his brother Bill Monis. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Monis; his children, William Joseph Monis, Michael Van and Elizabeth; his cousins, Arnold Gordon, Sylvia Gordon, Joel Slarve, Michael Slarve and Richard Slarve; and his nephew Adam Monis.
