He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Stein and Edna Stein (Smith); and his sister Jane. He is survived by: his wife Gail (Saperstein); his sons, David and Richard; his daughter-in-law Debra; his grandchildren, Sophie, Julius and Fred; his brother Peter; his siblings-in-law, Irene and Steve Saperstein (Nancy); his niece Julie Ray (Ted); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bella and Theo.

In lieu of flowers a contribution in Bob's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in support of Dr. Elizabeth Buchbinder's research at 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline MA 02445 would be appreciated.
