She was predeceased by: her parents, Eileen Walcott and Joseph Walcott. She is survived by: her husband Sylvan McCarthy; her children, Nicole West (Nathaniel), Diane Walcott and Ryan Walcott (Jania); her siblings, Therold Walcott (Patricia), Michael Walcott (Arlene), Dennis Walcott (Camille), Eldra Cummins (Michael) and Rhonda Harris (Stephen); her grandchildren, Shad, Faith, Briana, Ryan Jr., Kiyah and Kimora; and her nieces and nephews, John, Michael, Catherine, Rhonda, Darren, Darrian, Amanda, Smiley, Dave, Sandra, Michelle, Marleah and Natasha (Shawn). She is also survived by Cousins and relatives.
CHA and the Caribbean Foundation of Boston honored Marcia for her work within the organization.
