He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nadia Barakat (Khalil Said); his children, Alex Barakat of Phoenix, AZ and Lana Barakat (Christo Shalish) of Brookline; his grandchildren, Naya of Brookline and Milo Shalish of Brookline; and his siblings, Hilda, Rose, Nabil, Dr. Suheil Barakat, Nawal Khoury Barakat and Samia Akra. He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
