He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Kleene and Nancy Kleene. He is survived by: his wife Cornelia van der Ziel (Kea); his children, Roben (Jen Liu), Katherine (Joe Uttech) and Nicholas Kleene (Jennie Choi); his stepchildren, Joshua Burton (Diane Kwan) and Hilary Bonnell (Mike Bonnell); and his brothers, Paul (Mary Bradford) and Bruce Kleene (Shary Yerger). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and ten grandchildren.
