He is survived by: his children, Rachel A. Levine, Aryeh Feder, Sarah L. Levine, Hylton Joffe and James G. Levine; his grandchildren, Adin, Ezra, Devorah, Daniella Feder, Hannah Joffe and Rebecca Joffe; and his siblings, Judith Brody, Ida-Joyce, Robert, Tobie and Frederick Levine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
