He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Padawer (Bienstock); his daughter Susan Padawer; and his sister Hannah Felder. He is survived by: his daughter Jill Gemmill; his son-in-law John Clark; his grandchildren, Aaron Gemmill (Kressent Pottenger) and Janet Gemmill-Peckham (Chris Peckham); and his great grandchildren, Eva Gemmill, Malcolm Gemmill and Frances Peckham.
