He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Tayer and Pearl Tayer (Goldberg); and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Horvitz; his children, Amy Goldman (Howard), John Tayer (Molly) and Suzie Montgomery (John); his grandchildren, Max, Morgen, Sam Montgomery, Nate, Zach and Lucas Goldman; and his great grandchild Murphy Montgomery.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Home of Amy Goldman.
