She was predeceased by: her parents, Delfina "Cumanzinha" and Boaventura "Nenè"; her maternal guardian Preta of Nha' Chinha; and her husband Berao "Fidjo" Monteiro. She is survived by: her children, Antonio Monteiro, Arthur Monteiro, Delfina Pires, Manuel Monteiro, Alice Depina and Virginia Jorge; and her stepchildren, Berao Monteiro Jr., Emanuel Monteiro "Nene" and Julia Monteiro. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
