It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sonja Engeline (Fäustlin) Olbert (Brockton, Massachusetts), who passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Fäustlin (Weber) and Gottlieb Fäustlin; and her husband Adolf Olbert. She is survived by: her children, Annette O. Jones (Guy), Adolf Olbert (Diane), Sonja Olbert, Evelyne DeChambeau (Paul), Elisabeth Patel (Bhavin) and Stephan Olbert; her grandchildren, Ciara, Kristin, Devon, Matt, Sean, Lucas, Jacob, Margaret, Rebecca and Abigail; and her great grandchildren, Kevin, Royce, Marlia, Rixi, Jack, Abby and Lily.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ARC of Greater Brockton, 1250 West Chestnut St., Brockton, Ma. 02301 or Brockton Area Multi Services Inc. (BAMSI), 10 Christy's Drive, Brockton, Ma. 02301 in honor of Sonja's memory.

“I wish I could be there to share our images of Sonja. Her amusement at all things "strawberry"—some in her ceramic strawberry collection were so funny. And her calm even when unpleasant things happened to those she loved. I'm a worry-wart so It amazed me how—sitting relaxed at the kitchen table with a slight smile—she'd make a big circle with her head to include the whole world, not just her family, and say "Well, it always works out for the best in the end." What a truly remarkable woman!.”
