He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn. He is survived by: his sister Charlotte Luscombe; his children, Kenneth Downes, Sue Downes-Borko and Nancy Estabrook Downes; his grandchildren, Sam, Lauren and Lucian; and also, Paulo Matos and Ayça Çelebi.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall (439 Main St, Brockton, MA 02301).
Russell and Marilyn were awarded the Quarter Century Award by the Westwood Historical Society (2010) for their outstanding contributions to the community for more than 25 years, making Westwood a better place to live.
