He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Vernon Chase of Brockton and Roberta Marguerite Chase (Oliver) of Chatham. He is survived by: his son Christopher (Colleen); his grandson Derek of Boylston; his children, Ellis of Massachusetts, Chelsie Lynn Hope Sims of Shamrock, Jordan Riley Chase of Dalton, Samantha Nichole Chase of Kannapolis and Rebecca Lynn Benton of Kannapolis; and his brother Ken Chase. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and several cousins.
