Though Maria may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio "Talame" Gomes; and her children, Jose "Zenton" Gomes and Rosa Gomes. She is survived by: her children, Joana Tavares, Adelaide, Antonia, Teofilo, Manuel, Baltizar, Felismena and Ana. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the George Lopes Funeral Home-Brockton (647 Main St, Brockton, MA 02301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Melrose Cemetery (88 N Pearl St, Brockton, MA 02301).
