The memory of Joseph M. Hanley of Brockton, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 3, 2024 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Murray Hanley and Marion (Shearing); and his sisters, Mary Rose Giles, Geraldine "Chickie" Fortier, Patricia Mulligan, Ruth McNeill, Lois "Ollie" Conley and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Marie" M. Hanley (Altieri); his daughters, Nancy Hanley of Brookline, Carol Hanley (Mike Donoghue) of Boston and Julie Turner (Mark Turner) of Kennebunkport, Maine; his grandsons, Joseph Turner and Robert "Bobby" Turner; and his sister Kathleen "Kathy" Coughlan (Ronald "Ronnie" Coughlan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home (165 Belmont St, Brockton, MA 02301). A Mass was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church (439 West St, Brockton, MA 02301).
