He was predeceased by: his daughter Emelia Mendes. He is survived by: his wife Aucilia Mendes; his siblings, Louis Oliveria, Maria Smith and Jania Oliveria; his children, John G. Mendes, Fatima Pina, Linda Mendes, Joanne Mendes and Anthony Mendes; and his grandchildren, Johnny Mendes, Tyler Mendes, Gabriella Mendes, Jacklyn Xavier, Malik Riberio, Myles Riberio, Antonia Allen, Jazmine Glasgow, Nina Powers, Anthony Mendes Jr., Anthony M. Rodiguez, Catia Pina Aires and Carla Pina Aires.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home (165 Belmont St, Brockton, MA 02301). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Edith Stein Church (71 E Main St, Brockton, MA 02301).
