As Getachew departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Getachew. Though Getachew may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Abebech Kassaye (Abaye) and Habteyimer Woube (Kaptimer). He is survived by: his children, Tsion Sharma and Henok Kaptimer; and his grandchildren, Sanjna, Jayce, Jahannes and Salomé. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ Congregational Church (1350 Pleasant St, Brockton, MA 02301). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
