He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward F. Mottau and Lillian G. Mottau (O'Rourke); and his brothers, Edward S. Mottau and David Mottau. He is survived by: his son Gerard J. Mottau Jr. of Brockton; and his siblings, Marylou Fitzsimmons (George) of St. Louis, MO and Robert Mottau (Mabel) of Avon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Waitt Funeral Home (850 N Main St, Brockton, MA 02301). A committal service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
