He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Silva (Lynn) and Ruth Silva; his children, Shannon and David; his siblings, Bernard Silva (Sonya) and Lisa Silva; his grandson Denzel; and his nieces and nephews, Curtis, Jared, Cassandra and Angelica. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society in David's honor.
