He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooks Carpenter and Evelyn "Teddy" Carpenter (LeMunyon); his son Kevin; and his parents-in-law, Ruth, George Bastin, Albert Sehnert and Paul Sehnert.
He is survived by: his wife Linda (Sehnert); his children, Marie (Joseph Shea), James, Leang Carpenter (Chhean) of Brimfield and Susan (Edward Harrington); his grandchildren, Grace, Isabelle, Liam and Coleman; his sister Susan (Jeffrey Punches) of Durango, CO; and his sister-in-law Donna Sehnert (Loughman) of Lake Hopatcong, NJ. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
