He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. Donald Hilker and Alice Hilker. He is survived by: his wife Susan S. Hilker; his children, Jacob Hilker of Westford, MA, Sarah Hilker of Greece, Sandy Sutherland of Falmouth, MA and Delia Brower (Chad); and his siblings, Jennifer Hilker-Blair, Jeffery Hilker of California, Donna Hoeszle and James Hilker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces/nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brimfield Fire Association, the Brimfield Congregational Church, or Scout Troop 7 in his memory.
