He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Benoit (LaBelle); his son John Jr.; and also Benoit, Jr.. He is survived by: his parents, Florian Benoit and Dora Benoit (Belisle); his children, Tammy Sears (James) of Ware, Brandi Roussis (Peter), Jason Benoit, Jesse Benoit and Joshua Benoit; his siblings, Earl, Doris Haraghey, Elizabeth Dembrowski (Edward), Frank (Marlene), George (Karen) and Leo; and his stepchildren, Bill Therrien, Allen Therrien and Amanda Therrien. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Christopher's Church, Brimfield, MA 01010.
