It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Mary McCarthy of Brighton, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John J. McCarthy; her children, Mary McCarthy of Brighton, Timothy McCarthy of Brighton, John McCarthy of Brighton, Vincent of Brighton, Jennifer McCarthy of Brighton, Stephen, Jonna McCarthy of Foxborough, Michael and Clare Dalton of Woburn; her grandchildren, Hannah, Caitlin, Lianne, Jayson (Zuluaga), Patrick, Marina, Meaghan, Erich (Orellana), Eric, Timothy and Courtney; her great grandchild Andre; and her siblings, Peter, Kathleen (McCabe), John, Michael, Patrick and Peggy Cusack. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McNamara Funeral Home (63 Chestnut Hill Ave, Brighton, MA 02135). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home (63 Chestnut Hill Ave, Brighton, MA 02135). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Columbkille Church (321 Market St, Brighton, MA 02135). A burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at the St Joseph Cemetery (990 Lagrange St, Boston, MA 02132).
