He is survived by: his wife Mirtha (Aquique); his children, Alex Alvarez (Christina) of Sotomayor, Jason Alvarez (Ashley) of Sotomayor and Meg Johnson (Mark); his grandchildren, Lucas, Elena and Dominic; and his brother Rodolfo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
