He was predeceased by: his sister Adrienne Alexson; and his parents, James Cairns and Dorothy Cairns (Connors). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Cairns (O'Rourke); his children, Keri Leaf (Nathan) of Minneapolis, MN and Packie Cairns (Elizabeth) of Framingham; and his grandchildren, Maeve and Packie Jameson.
