He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Flaherty and Mary G Flaherty; and his sister Claire Flaherty Holt. He is survived by: his uncle Buddy; his brother Joseph P. Flaherty (Deborah) of Plymouth, MA.; his nieces, Karen Marinaccio (Todd), Mary Ellen Johnson (Bryan) and Patty Pagan (Steve); his nephew Joey Flaherty; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alex, Greg, Will Marinaccio, David, Emily, Peter, Charles Baizley, Alexander Pagan, Genevieve, Eleanor Holland, Natalie, Molly, Luke, Layla, Kevin Bates, Adley and Leighton Paradis; his in-laws, John Holt, Celeste Laak, Rob Holt and Marge Flaherty; and also, Jackson and Lucas Baizley.
