It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Bechtel of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bechtel and Margaret Bechtel (Smart); his daughter Lindsay Marie; and his sister Marsha Goddard (Robert) of Vermont. He is survived by: his close friend Steve Brennan; his wife Barbara A. Bechtel of Bridgewater; his children, Lauren Bernstein (Matthew) of Norton and Christine Carrico (Ryan) of East Bridgewater; and his siblings, Ronald Bechtel of Brockton, Joseph Bechtel (Celia) of Foxboro, Alan Bechtel (Lori) of Easton, David Bechtel and Sandra Carreiro of Assonet. He is also survived by his wife, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Donations can be made to Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in memory of Bill Bechtel, class of 1970.
