He was predeceased by: his parents, Cuthbert Mandell and Ernestine Sims Mandell; and his sister Ernestine S. Mandell. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Jane Snodgrass Mandell; his children, Thomas Heneage Mandell (Vera), Elizabeth Ellis Mandell and Emma Mandell Gray (Josh); his grandchildren, Trent, Vivian, James Mandell, Alexandra and Katherine Gray; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Gann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
