He was predeceased by: his parent Bernard R. Tarpey; and his brother Kevin Tarpey (Carmela). He is survived by: his spouse Margaret E. Tarpey (Gillis); his parent Kathryn J. Tarpey (Scully); his brother-in-law Owen Gillis; his children, Amy R. Small of Bridgewater, Stacey L. Tarpey of Barrington, RI, Shawn M. Tarpey (Jen) of West Bridgewater, Meg E. Tarpey of Easton and Bernard "Alex" Tarpey (Christine) of Bridgewater; his great grandchild Whit; and his siblings, Kathryn Tarpey of New York, Veronica "Roni" Silva (Joseph) of Brockton, Thomas Tarpey (Donna) of Randolph, Elizabeth "Betty" Silva of Brockton and John Tarpey (Darla) of Taunton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
