We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Barbara L. Smith of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, born in Brockton, Massachusetts. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marine and Marion Marine (Drayton); her husband George W. Smith, Sr.; and her siblings, William, Paul Marine and Priscilla.
She is survived by: her children, George Smith, Jr. (Brenda) of Vero Beach, Dianne Oman (Gary) of Bridgewater and Debra Griswold (Willard) of Berkley; her sisters, Carol Taylor of Pennsylvania and Brenda Johnson of Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kristen Smith (Albert) of Easton, Daniel Smith (Jennifer) of Easton, Jonathan Oman of Bridgewater, Amy Oman of Bridgewater, Jeffrey Oman (Jenny) of North Dighton, Julie MacKinnon (Hugh) of Taunton and Gregg Griswold of Enfield, Maine.; and her great grandchildren, G. G., Andrew, Zachary, Eden Smith, Joshua, Michael, Christopher, Jenna Oman, Taylin Oman and Nadine Cadima.
Visiting hours will be held at Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, MA, on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 4 - 7 p. m. Masks and social distancing are required. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Funeral Service and graveside ceremony will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Barbara's memory be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 Myles Standish Blvd, Taunton, MA 02780.
