He is survived by: his spouse Shirley A. Ryan (Ely); his children, Alfred R. Ryan Jr. of Brockton and Judi A. Benson (Wayne); his grandsons, Eric R. Benson and James R. Benson; his daughter-in-law Elaine M. Ryan (Alfred R. Ryan Jr.) of Brockton; and his sister Charlene Derrickson of West Bridgewater. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
