She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John "Jack" Firlings; her children, John A. Firlings Jr. (Anne), Janet Herter (Jeff) and Matthew Firlings (Amy); her parents, Joseph O'Leary and Helen O'Leary (Barros); her siblings, Kathleen James (O'Leary), Margaret Rugg (O'Leary) and Joseph O'Leary; and her grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Helena, Matthew, Mary and Samuel.
