It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen L. (Smith) Boyken of Brewster, Massachusetts, born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elliott Smith and Florence Smith; and her siblings, Alan Smith, Stephen Smith, Deborah Smith and Patricia Smith.
She is survived by: her children, James Reynolds of Chelsea, MA, Eric Reynolds of Georgia and Stephanie Sellers (Brian Sellers) of Brooklyn, NY; her grandchildren, Nicole Reynolds, Damian Reynolds, Raven Reynolds and Emmett Sellers of Brooklyn; and her brothers, Elliott Smith and Richard Smith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
While the pandemic kept her from developing a close-knit community there like the one she had in Winthrop, she found a lot of peace and joy in Brewster's salty air.
