“I also have fond memories of Ms, Salvia. I was in the class of 1967 @ Calhoun HS. Ms. Salvia was my gym teacher throughout high school with Ms. Sutay. Ms. Salvia was also my Health teacher. I will never forget our lesson on diets & my famous diet I shared with the class. Ms. Salvia signed my 1967 yearbook with a quote from that class. I also remember playing softball with the gym class & how she always told me to stop swinging for the birds. She was the kindest, sweetness teacher I ever had.”

“I found out about Ms. Salvia's passing through Calhoun's Facebook page and was sincerely saddened by the news. She was one of my favorite teachers back in the early 70's and made gym fun for me and I was not particularly great at sports! She will be missed by many. Rest in Peace, Ms. Salvia.”
