He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Murphy (Budrick) of Quincy; his children, Stephen Murphy (Deborah) of Braintree, Robert Murphy Jr. (Jayne) of Quincy, Garrett Murphy of Los Angeles, CA, Lawrence Murphy of Portland, OR, Thomas Murphy (Jitta) of Fort Collins, CO and Patricia Murphy of Norwell, MA.; and his grandchildren, Kelly Sankar (Dominic) of Mohegan Lake, NY, Danielle Hall (Patrick) of Newburyport, Kerri Chambers (Kyle) of Braintree, Stephen Murphy of Hull, Robert Murphy, III (Vanessa) of Attleboro, Christopher Murphy of Norwell and Jason Murphy of Fort Collins, Colorado.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends.
