He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony J. Mantia and Angelina Mantia (Sansone); his spouse Mayre J. (Bonifini); and his siblings, Cosmo Mantia of Rockland, Joseph Mantia of Southampton, Nancy Pennacchio of Weymouth, James Mantia and Anthony Mantia of Bridgewater.

He is survived by: his close friend Joanne Gibbs of Naples, FL; his children, Paul J. Mantia (Catherine) and Pamela Hammond (Michael Hammond) of Braintree; and his grandchildren, Weston Hammond of Braintree and Isabella Mantia of Arizona.
